Hi everyone, My name is Nana and I’m a junior, and I am an international student from Ghana. I came into the US for a liberal arts education. So far, it’s been a life of exploration and has been one of the best experiences I have had. Being away from home, I am glad to say that Scripps has become my home away from home. I have friends who are the best support system and have become my second family and faculty that are passionate in seeing me succeed , and who are also caring beyond my experience as a student. I am a STEM person interspersed in the humanities with a major in Biology and a minor in Foreign languages. I am also on the pre-health track with an interest to go into the medical field. I am probably going to be in South Korea in Spring 2025, yay!! One of the best parts of being a Scripps student to me is the vast opportunities presented through the consortium. Being this close to LA, there are a lot of ways to come out of the stresses of being a student and just have fun away from the school environment. I go into LA with friends to explore the city, watch plays and try out food with friends. So far, I’m having a blast and would love to share my experience with you so, ask me about anything.
