Urban Governance in “Dysfunctional” States: City-Making by the “Republic of NGOs” in Post-Blast Beirut

Dr. Mona Harb, Professor of Urban Studies and Politics at the American University of Beirut and co-founder of the , will lecture on her current research about the role of activists in reshaping urban space and in oppositional politics. The lecture will draw on her research during and after Lebanon’s uprisings of 2019.
