Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture Series: Stephen Naftilian

Stephen Naftilan, the Kenneth Pitzer Professor of Physics in the Joint Science Department of the Claremont Colleges, will be speaking on "Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and the Light They Shed on Scripps’ CORE" in the Hampton Room of the Elizabeth Hubert Malott Commons at noon on Thursday, November 1.

Professor Naftilan’s research interests include stellar astrophysics, star formation, spider web construction and banking modeling and systemic risk. His lecture will explore the integration of developments in astronomy and astrophysics into the interdisciplinary Core Curriculum at 澳门六合彩开奖记录资料. Professor Naftilan holds an endowed chair in Physics at Pitzer College and is a member of the faculty of the Joint Science Department, an interdisciplinary department serving Claremont McKenna, Pitzer and 澳门六合彩开奖记录资料s. His Ph.D. in Astrophysics is from Case Western Reserve University.

Former Scripps Professor of History and current Trustee Brad Blaine, along with his wife Mary Anne, are proud to sponsor this lecture.
