Upcoming Auditions

24 Hour Theatre Festival - Sign Up Now!

Ever wanted to try playwrighting? Directing? Tech crew? Looking for a smaller theatre commitment? How about 24 hours? Join us for our annual 24 Hour Theatre Festival! No auditions necessary--participation is open to all who are interested!

Kickoff for all participants will take place on Friday, September 27 at 7:30pm in the Lab Theatre where you will receive your group assignment and role within your group (playwright, director, actor, tech crew).听

Free public performance will take place exactly 24 hours later on Saturday, September 28 at 7:30pm in the Lab Theatre.

Auditions will take place on Friday, October 听11 from 6-8pm and Saturday, October 12 from 2-4pm in the Gezon Auditorium. Additional details and registration information coming soon!

Birthday Candles by Noah Haidle

November 6 and 7 in the Lab Theatre - Details and Registration Information Coming Soon

The Calvin Theatre Company is holding auditions for听Birthday Candles听by Noah Haidle on Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7, from 6:30-9:30pm in the Lab Theatre.听Auditions are open to ALL Calvin students. This production is directed by Brad Cain, Adjunct Professor of Theatre.

Rehearsals begin on Monday, November 18th, and the show runs January 31-February 8.听There will be no rehearsals over Christmas break, but rehearsals will resume January 6 during the Winter Intensive session. Those cast will need to make arrangements to return to campus at that time to be available for rehearsals.

There will be no rehearsals over spring break (March 7-16), but rehearsals will happen over advising days (March 26-27).

Summary: The world鈥檚 best-selling crime novel of all time comes to life! As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, they are brutally murdered one by one in accordance with a sinister nursery rhyme.
